Uncle Sam

In 1780,  Samuel Wilson was fourteen years old.  He ran away from his home in Massachusetts to follow in his father and brothers’ footsteps by joining the Continental Army.  He served until the end of the war.  In 1790, he and his brother opened a meat-packing business in Troy, NY. Read more…
